Spring Shocker CoverStaying in Touch

Hi, Folks,

I just received my WSU alumni magazine (The Shocker, spring 2010). As always, thanks. Receipt of the magazine also served as a reminder to me to inform you that I recently changed my mailing address. Please make that adjustment to your records.

Very best regards,

John E. Lungren ’87,
Waupun, Wis.

Homecoming parade photoParading Around

Dear Editor:

I enjoyed participating in the Homecoming parade on campus Saturday
(Feb. 13, 2010). Here are a couple of pictures I took. The two students I
drove were Manny Scott and Samantha Ternes.

Sincerely,

Don Scobee,
Wichita

Editor’s Note:
Don Scobee drove Scott and Ternes (shown in the photo above with WuShock) along the Homecoming 2010 parade route in his red convertible Corvette. Scott and Ternes were two of 12 student finalists – all Wichita State seniors – for king and queen honors. Scott and Kelsey Klaver, who grace the cover of the spring 2010 issue of The Shocker, were crowned Homecoming 2010 King and Queen on Feb. 14 at halftime of the Wichita State vs. Missouri State men’s basketball game, which the Shockers won 66-64. This fall, a second Homecoming 2010 is scheduled. Festivities will have a western theme: “Shockin’ Y’All.”
