Membership dues support alumni publications as well as other programs and services that support higher education at Wichita State.

Linwood B. Sexton ’48, PE, has been presented the Pride Award by Real Men, Real Heroes Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers mentoring, tutoring, guidance and encouragement to elementary, middle and high school students in Wichita. Sexton, a member of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, played football and basketball and ran track as a Shocker. A community leader known for his commitment to issues of equality and civil rights, he is the namesake of WSU’s Linwood Sexton Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship geared toward minority students majoring in business or education. He lives in Sedgwick.*

Thomas P. Wolf ’59, POL SCI, Indiana University Southeast professor emeritus of political science, has stepped down after two decades as editor of the international publication, The British Politics Group Quarterly. He lives in New Albany, Ind.*

Connie R. (Marshall) Dietz ’68, EL ED, ’71 M ED, director of WSU’s Office of Cooperative Education and Work-Based Learning, has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. She lives in Wichita.*

Stephen M. Joseph ’69, POL SCI, has been named 2014 Wichita Criminal Defense: White-Collar Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, he was honored in the practice area of Criminal Defense: Non-White-Collar. His practice at Joseph Hollander & Craft LLC concentrates on the defense of those charged with crimes in federal and state court. He also defends healthcare and legal professionals in disciplinary matters. Since entering private practice in 1978, he has often been appointed special assistant attorney general or special prosecutor in order to prosecute high-profile cases in which local authorities were deemed to have conflicts of interest. He resides in Wichita. 

R. Jeff Worley ’71, ENG L/LIT, ’75 M ENG CR, has won numerous literary awards for his poetry. His most recent, the X.J. Kennedy Prize, was presented to him for his work A Little Luck, a collection of poems published in September. An earlier work, Driving Late to the Party: The Kansas Poems, is his autobiography written in verse. He has published five books, three chapbooks and has edited a poetry anthology, What Comes Down to Us. His poems have appeared widely in magazines in the United States and Canada – including The Shocker – for the past 35 years. Worley resides in Lexington, Ky. 

Michael L. Nicholson ’72, ART, an artist whose works often depict the rural landscape with emphases on the light, atmosphere and dignity of the people who work the land, had a show at the Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery in Lindsborg, Kan. Nicholson lives in Edmond, Okla. 

Cynthia “Cindy” (Clarke) Carnahan ’73, EL ED, of The Carnahan Group at J.P. Weigand & Sons Inc., has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. Carnahan taught briefly at Wichita public schools before joining her mother and father in a family-owned real estate company, Ed Clarke Realtors, where she worked for 14 years prior to joining Weigand. She lives in Wichita and currently serves on the board of directors for the WSU Alumni Association.*

Ross A. Hollander ’73, SP, who served as president of the WSU Alumni Association from 2007-08, was named 2014 Wichita Employment Law–Management Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America. He was also honored in two other practice areas: Labor Law-Management, and Litigation-Labor and Employment. Hollander is president at Joseph Hollander & Craft LLC and has practiced in the areas of employment law and business and commercial litigation in Wichita for nearly 35 years. Earlier this year, he was also honored by Chambers USA as one of the country’s leading attorneys in labor law. A past president of the Wichita Bar Association and of the Kansas Bar Association’s Employment Law Section, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute. He lives in Wichita.* 

Frank A. Ross ’73, ACCT, is set to retire from Valley Bank & Trust after 14 years of service. He has been in the financial services industry since 1976. He lives in the Greeley, Colo. area. 

Ann C. (Hefty) Krone ’74, M S ART/PR, an art teacher at Friends University in Wichita, was the featured artist for the opening of the 2013-14 exhibition season at Bethel College’s Fine Arts Center Gallery in North Newton, Kan. Her show, “A Look Beyond the Obvious,” featured colored pencil drawings and digital paintings. She lives in Wichita.

Virginia R. Shaw ’75, M PSYCH, clinical psychologist and branch chief at the Maui Family Guidance Center, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division, Department of Health, State of Hawaii, has been elected to the National Association for Rural Mental Health Board. Since 1987, she has made local, state, national and international conference presentations on clinical neuropsychology and head injury rehabilitation. She lives in Kahului, Hawaii.*

Liz K. (Meeker) Workman ’78, ART HIST, has been named CEO for the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, and began her duties in July. She resides in Wichita. 

Vincentia “Cindy” A. (Bugner) Claycomb ’79, BUS ADM, ’91 M BUS ADM, who is serving as interim dean of WSU’s W. Frank Barton School of Business, has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. She resides in Wichita.*

Junetta M. (French) Everett ’79, DH, vice president for professional relations at Delta Dental of Kansas Inc., has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. She lives in Bel Aire, Kan.*  

Robert A. Vartabedian ’80, M COMM, has served as president of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph for the past five years. A communication professor, he began his academic career as an assistant professor of speech at East Central Oklahoma State and then taught at WSU from 1981-88, serving as head of rhetoric and communication, forensics director and coordinator of communication graduate studies, among other positions. He lives in St. Joseph.

Catherine A. (Crum) DeSocio ’81, FIN, is president of the Bowling Proprietors Association of America and a director for the Bowling Foundation, the U.S. Bowling Congress and the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. She is also president of Joma Bowling Co., which owns and operates several bowling centers in Wichita. She has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. DeSocio lives in Wichita. 

Warren S. Ryan ’81, H SCI, is a physician assistant at Cardiovascular Consultants of Kansas. He lives in Wichita. 

Terry L. Williams ’81, BUS ADM, is lead pastor at River Community Church in Wichita. He also serves as an Air Force Chaplain in the Air National Guard. He lives in Goddard, Kan. 

Bryan C. Ware ’82, MATH, is senior vice president and chief actuary at Employers Insurance Group in Reno, Nev., where he resides.*

Christina L. “Christy” Williams ’83, MUS P, ’00 M PIANO P, offers piano lessons through Christy Williams Piano Studio in Wichita. She resides in Goddard, Kan. 

Robert P. Harris ’84, FIN, has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2014. He is a partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, working in the firm’s commercial bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights group. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial bankruptcy and related bankruptcy litigation. He lives in Phoenix, Ariz. 

Carl A. Castro ’85, PSYCH, is an assistant professor and research director at the University of Southern California’s Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans and Military Families. Prior to his current position at USC, he was director of military operations, Medicine Research Program, Headquarters, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command; chief of military psychiatry at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research; chief of the Applied Pharmacology Branch at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense; and commander of the U.S. Army Medical Research Unit-Europe in Heidelberg, Germany. He has published many scientific articles and is author and developer of the Battlemind Training System, the U.S. Army’s resilience training program. Castro retired from the Army with the rank of colonel. He lives in Southern California. 

Tamara L. (Phye) Davis ’85, FIN, is president and senior partner at Tamara L. Davis PA, a law firm in Dodge City, Kan. The firm has recently opened a new law office in Ulysses, Kan. Davis resides in Dodge City. 

Ravindra “Ravi” Pendse ’85, EL E, ’94 PHD EL E, is vice president for computing and information services at Brown University. He formerly served as vice president for information technology and chief information officer at WSU. A Cisco Fellow, professor and specialist in computer networking and information technology in higher education, he lives in the Providence, Rhode Island, area. 

Mashitah M. Yusoff  ’85, CHEM, ’89 PHD CHEM, has been appointed deputy vice chancellor of research and innovation at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and will serve in that position through July 2016. A chemistry professor, she is also dean of industrial sciences and technology and director of central laboratory at UMP, which is in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. 

Dalene R. (Hawthorne) McDonald ’86, MUS P, ’89 MUS ED, is director of the Deets Library at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan. She lives in Arkansas City, Kan. 

Ronnie L. Leonard ’87, ACCT, CEO at Balco Inc., a Wichita-based manufacturer of architectural products, has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. She lives in Wichita.* 

Cynthia A. Cook ’88, GEN ST, has been named senior counsel at Brown PC, a Texas-based boutique law firm with a nationwide practice handling tax controversies and tax litigation. A former director of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, she serves as a Fellow of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas. 

M. Kristine Savage ’88, AJ, was honored by Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Criminal Defense: Non-White Collar and Criminal Defense: White Collar. She works in Joseph Hollander & Craft’s Topeka and Lawrence offices, and focuses on family law. She also has experience in complex federal and state criminal cases, including appeals. Before joining the firm in 1999, she was chief of the Northeast Kansas Conflicts Office and served as an assistant appellate defender and public defender in Shawnee County. She resides in Osage City, Kan. 

Anne C. Nelson ’89, PSYCH, who has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013, is associate executive director of the Central Plains Regional Health Care Foundation Inc., a nonprofit affiliate of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. She lives in Derby, Kan. 

Dawn M. Clark ’90, BUS ED, has begun her first year at Hillsboro (Kan.) High School as a family and consumer science instructor. She previously worked at Cessna Aircraft Co. as a corporate trainer, taught the GED program at Wichita Area Technical College and developed the GED program for Wright CareerCollege. Clark lives in Sedgwick, Kan.

Cynthia A. “Cindy” (Tenofsky) Hoover ’90, EL E, who is vice president of the 737 MAX program at Spirit AeroSystems, has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. She lives in Wichita. 

Lynn A. Felts ’91, M ART ED, art teacher at Winfield (Kan.) High School, has been named Overall Outstanding Art Educator of the Year 2013-14. Over the course of her 36 years of teaching, Felts has served the field of art education at local, state, regional and national levels. She has served on the Kansas Art Education Association board of directors as commercial liaison, president-elect, president and secondary representative. Felts lives in Winfield. 

Anjali (Thusoo) Kausar ’91, H SCI, ’93 M H SCI, has been named executive director of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce. In addition to this position, she serves as president of the Cupertino Union School District board of trustees. She has served on the school board since a 2009 appointment, and her current term expires in 2014. She lives in Saratoga, Calif. 

Carol Bragdon ’92, M NURS, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Cotton-O’Neil Heart Center in Topeka, Kan., has been appointed to a four-year term to the Kansas State Board of Nursing. She lives in Topeka. 

Brian W. Hinkle ’92, M ART/P, this summer served as the artist-in-residence at Lindsborg, Kan.’s Lester Raymer’s Red Barn Studio and Museum. While in Lindsborg, he created oil landscape paintings, concentrating on areas in and around Lindsborg. He lives in Wichita. 

Gordon D. Kuntz ’92, M NURS, manager at High Plains Mental Health Center in Hays, Kan., on June 9 assumed command of the Kansas Army National Guard Medical Detachment for the second time. Col. Kuntz first served as commander from October 2007 to December 2009. He lives in Hays, Kan. 

Shane L. Dennis ’94, COMM, has joined Entercom’s Sports Radio KFH in Wichita as host of the Shane Dennis Show. A pitcher for the WSU baseball team from 1991-94, he earned All-America honors in 1994. He resides in Wichita. 

Gloria R. Solis ’94, M NURS, chief nursing officer and COO at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Mo., presented the keynote address, “The future of nursing: It’s in our hands,” during a symposium this past August at Hesston College in Hesston, Kan. She lives in Overland Park, Kan.*

Brian C. Stranghoner ’95,  M MUS ED, is a teacher in the vocal music department at Rose Hill (Kan.) High School. He lives in Wichita. 

Rebecca “Becky” A. (Roberts) Fleming ’97, M ENG, is a language arts teacher in Valley Center, Kan. She lives in rural Halstead, Kan. 

Christopher M. Joseph ’97, HIST/POL SCI, has been honored by Best Lawyers in America in the area of Criminal Defense: Non-White Collar.  He manages Joseph Hollander & Craft LLC’s Topeka and Lawrence offices. His defense practice is concentrated on mail fraud, bank fraud, securities fraud, drug crimes, pornography prosecutions, and related civil matters, including property and asset forfeiture. A Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, he also has been named “Top 40 under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers. He resides in Lawrence, Kan. 

A. Irene (Winter) Langerot ’97, M CI, has been selected as a nominee for elementary Teacher of the Year by Derby (Kan.) public schools. She was recognized in September as a Kansas Teacher of the Year Region IV semifinalist. Langerot, who teaches kindergarten at Oaklawn Elementary, is in her 37th year of teaching. She lives in Peck, Kan. 

David R. Miller ’97, BUS ADM, ’00 M PUB ADM, has been named chief information officer for Sedgwick County. The county’s budget director for the past eight years, he began working for the county in 2001 as a budget analyst. Miller, who has also worked as a budget analyst for the state of Kansas, lives in Wichita. 

Ken R. Spurgeon ’97, HIST, ’02 M HIST, has written the nonfiction book A Kansas Soldier at War: The Civil War Letters of Christian and Elise Dubach Isely, which provides insight into happenings on both the battlefields and the home fronts. He lives in rural Towanda, Kan. 

Kara K. (Evans) Hunt ’98, PSYCH, is vice president of human resources at Delta Dental of Kansas Inc. In September, she was named HR Professional of the Year by the Kansas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management. She lives in Goddard, Kan. 

Torian C. Keen ’98, BUS ADM, has been promoted to branch manager of TW Metals’ Wichita facility. His background in supply chain management includes working at Learjet and Cessna. He resides in Wichita. 

Treva L. (Batman) Brewster ’99, M COUNS, is a business teacher at Norwich (Kan.) High School. She lives in Milton, Kan.

Julie A. (Anderson) Clements ’99, JOURN, writes for the Butler County Times-Gazette. She lives in El Dorado, Kan. 

Melvin A. Johnson ’99, M ANTHRO, who earned his doctorate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is an assistant professor of geography at the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc. He resides in Manitowoc. 

Natalie M. Page ’99, GEN ST, is a 10th and 11th grade language arts teacher at Rose Hill (Kan.) High School. She lives in rural Oxford, Kan. 

Jeanne R. Smith ’99, EL ED, ’02 M SP ED, is a preschool teacher at Wichita Friends School. She lives in Wichita. 

Brad J. Anderson ’00, GEN ST/COMM, a financial representative of Northwestern Mutual, RPS Financial Group in Wichita, is a member of the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Leadership Wichita program. The program aims to bring awareness to a broad range of issues facing the community, as well as provide leadership training. The mission of Leadership Wichita is to identify, inform, and inspire leaders. In addition, Anderson has qualified for the Quality Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, an award that recognizes professionalism, production and service to the industry association. He lives in Andover, Kan.* 

Teresa D. (Finlay) McDonald ’00, SOC WK, is a social worker at Behavioral Medicine Specialists. She resides in Wichita.

Nicholas F. Saverine ’00, MUS P, portrayed Jean Valjean in Music Theatre of Wichita’s June production of Les Misérables. Saverine – who has performed in productions of the much-honored musical all over the world, from Broadway to the first national tour to a European tour – has sung all of the male roles except two. He lives in New Jersey. 

Alex Cavgalar ’01, COMP E, ’06 M EL E, was one of about 70 immigrant entrepreneurs invited to the White House this summer for an event called Champions of Change. The event offered first-generation immigrants a chance to share their stories about coming to the United States and working to be successful. Cavgalar, the chief technology officer at Ulterius Technologies, was born in Greece and grew up mostly in Turkey. He now lives in Wichita. 

Srinivasu Maradana ’01, M IE, software development senior manager at CCH in Wichita, has been named a 2013 40 Under 40 honoree by CPA Practice Advisor Magazine, which described the honorees as “some of the best and brightest talent in the accounting profession.” Maradana, who resides in Wichita, was named to the list for the second straight year. 

Justin W. Owens ’01, MIS, ’10 M PSYCH, ’13 PHD PSYCH, is a user-experience researcher at Google. He lives in the San Francisco Bay area. 

Edward L. Robinson ’01, COMM, serves as chair of the Board of Editors for the Journal of the Kansas Association for Justice, a scholarly publication for trial practitioners about key trends in Kansas law and notable cases. An attorney with Joseph, Hollander & Craft LLC in Wichita, he focuses on civil litigation, including real estate, environmental, consumer protection and fraud disputes. He lives in Wichita.

Jessy L. Clonts ’02, COMM, is public relations and marketing manager at the Ulrich Museum of Art at WSU. Clonts, who lives in Wichita, graduated magna cum laude from WSU’s Elliott School of Communication. 

Robert C.J. Graves ’02, ENG, ’05 M ENG CR, a former The Shocker student editorial assistant, has written a book of poetry, Nightmarism: Poems, published in June by Coral Reef. Graves, who lives in Wichita Falls, Texas, works as a mitigation specialist with the Texas Regional Public Defender for Capital Cases. 

Wendy L. (Scott) Grim ’02, EL ED, teaches preschool in Norwich, Kan. She lives in Suppesville, Kan. 

Lisa K. “Kat” Sparks ’02, COMM, is the author of Searching for Peanut Butter in Paris, a memoir described as “slightly gritty, humorous and encouraging notes on culture shock and language acquistion” about her time in France. She lives in Wichita.

Megan T. (Upton) Tyner ’02, THEA, ’12 M COMM, is theater technical director at Hesston College in Hesston, Kan. She lives in Newton, Kan.

Sheree R. Utash ’02, M LIB ST, has been named to the Wichita Business Journal’s Women in Business class of 2013. A resident of Wichita, she is vice president for academic affairs at Wichita Area Technical College.  

Rachel M. Downs ’03, S ART, is one of two winners of the Horizon Award, an annual award given to exemplary teachers in their second year of teaching. She is an art teacher at Free State High School in Lawrence, Kan., where she lives. 

Brian Cheesman ’04, M MUS P, as associate band director/percussion instructor at Itawamba Community College with campuses in Fulton and Tupelo, Miss., works with the marching and concert bands, in addition to teaching the drum line, percussion ensemble, steel band, applied percussion lessons, and music appreciation. He has served as adjudicator for various Mississippi High School Activities Association state marching festivals and the Mississippi Indoor Association and is active in the Southeast as an arranger, clinician, performer, educator and adjudicator. He lives in Tupelo, Miss. 

Larry F. Nanny ’04, HSOP, is executive director at Via Christi Village in Wichita. He oversees a staff of about 120 employees. In addition to a 70-bed assisted living facility, Via Christi recently opened an 80-bed skilled nursing community at the site. Prior to his current position, he spent a decade working at nursing homes in Eureka and Baxter Springs. He resides in Wichita. 

Jamin P. Still ’04, FLD MJR/ART, is director of the WSU chapter of Christian Challenge. He lives in Wichita. 

Mark Buffa ’05, COMP SCI, along with current WSU student Francois Lavoie, won the men’s gold medal in the team-play trios division at the World Tenpin Bowling Association World Championships in August in Las Vegas, Nev. He lives in Montreal, Canada.  

Joel N. Mehler ’05, EL E, works in the policy analysis division of the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute at Analytic Services Inc. He resides in Washington, D.C.  

A. Dawn Shaikh ’05, M PSYCH, ’07 PHD PSYCH, is a user-experience researcher at Google. She lives in Bellevue, Wash. 

Julius B. Thomas III ’05, MUS THEA, is an ensemble cast member of the hit Broadway show “Motown: The Musical.” Thomas, who lives in New York City, performed on stage at the Tony Awards on June 9. 

Ammie D. (Denton) Weidner ’05, FIN, is a portfolio management associate at Morgan Stanley. She lives in Wichita. 

Tina M. (Entz) Busenitz ’06, SOC, works for World Impact Wichita. She resides in Wichita. 

Sasha R. (Bradburn) Edwards ’06, CSD, ’08 M CSD, is a speech language pathologist at Wichita’s Linwood Elementary School. She lives in Wichita. 

Doug E. Fox ’06, PSYCH, ’08 M PSYCH, ’11 PHD PSYCH, is a user-experience researcher at Google. He lives in San Jose, Calif. 

Rachael D. (Brungardt) Hauser ’06, GEN ST/BIO, is an internal medicine physician. Hauser, whose special interests are preventative medicine, management of diabetes and women’s health, works at the Pratt Internal Medicine Group. She lives in Pratt, Kan. 

Chris A. Johns ’06, MKT, was sworn in on May 28 as the Park City, Kan., city council’s newest member. Johns, who lives in Park City, is also the youngest member of the council. 

Caroline Lagrange ’06, ART GD, and Samantha How of Team Canada took home women’s silver at the World Tenpin Bowling Association World Championships in August in Las Vegas, Nev. Lagrange resides in Montreal, Canada. 

Joyce (Wong) Larson ’06, MGT, is an esthetician at Healing Waters Spa and Cosmetic Clinic. She lives in Wichita. 

Amy R. Maxton ’06, JOURN, ’08 M COMM, is communications director at Youth Horizons. She lives in Wichita. 

Swathi Mohan ’06, M CHEM, an organic chemist with Ohio State-Lima’s chemistry department, has specific areas of interest in organometallic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. She is a native of Hyderabad, India, and now resides in Lima, Ohio.  

Gilles C. Mouzon ’06, M E MGT, ’08 PHD IE, an industrial engineer at CNH, has also helped start up Blazing Electronics, which buys and resells used iPads, iPhones and other smartphones. He resides in Wichita. 

April (Schuering) Pameticky ’06, M ENG CR, a teacher at Wichita’s Mayberry Cultural and Fine Arts Magnet Middle School and a former student editorial assistant at The Shocker, has written a book of poetry, Sand River and Other Places I’ve Been, published by Finishing Line Press. She resides in Wichita. 

Jeremy M. Costello ’07, JOURN, writes for the Butler County Times-Gazette. He lives in Augusta, Kan. 

Erin E. Goodson ’07, MATH ED, ’11 M ED PSYCH, teaches algebra and geometry at Wichita High School Northwest. She lives in Wichita. 

Alicia T. Sanchez ’07, FLD MJR/ECON, is director of WSU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs. She resides in Hutchinson, Kan. 

Bryan S. Steele ’07, AEROS E, ’12 M AEROS E, is a senior aerospace engineer at Beechcraft. He resides in Wichita. 

JoAnna R. (McGinnis) Wooten ’07, ENG CR, is a third grade teacher at Kingman (Kan.) Elementary School. She resides in Kingman. 

Derek P. Best ’08, MUS ED, is an elementary, middle school and high school music teacher at Brewster, Kan., public schools. He teaches band and vocal music for students in fifth grade through high school and music education for younger elementary students. Best resides in Colby, Kan. 

Daniel J. Goldak ’08, MIS, is a technical support engineer at NetApp. He lives in Wichita. 

Matthew J. Heilman ’08, JOURN, a reporter for Strunk Publishing, writes for the Ark Valley News, Bel Aire Breeze, Kechi Lamp and the Park City Post. He lives in Valley Center, Kan. 

Aaron C. Jackson ’08, M CI, ’10 M ED L, is assistant principal at Rose Hill High School. He lives in Rose Hill, Kan.

Scott M. Nuss ’09, M SP ADM, has been named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Sports Information Director of the Year. Nuss, who became Southwestern College’s first ever full-time sports information director in 2012, was recognized at the 2013 KCAC football media day in Wichita on Aug. 7. A resident of Winfield, Kan., he is responsible for marketing, publications, statistics and promotion of Southwestern’s athletic department. 

M. Frances Rico ’09, PSYCH, is the Working to Recognize Alternative Possibilities (WRAP) worker at Liberty Memorial Central Middle School in Lawrence, Kan. She lives in the Lawrence area.

Mariana Ayala Arroyo ’10, ART GD, ’10 COMM, representing Puerto Rico, won the bronze medal in women’s singles at the World Tenpin Bowling Association World Championships. The event took place in August in Las Vegas, Nev. She lives in Bedford, Texas.
