Kenneth D. Rupe '49, ACCT, has retired from Koch Industries in Wichita, where he also lives.*

Virginia L. (Findlay) Ablah fs '50 has been recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as one of 20 outstanding women in business. She offers this advice to others in business: "Organize and expedite." Ablah is executive vice president and corporate secretary of Ablah Enterprises Inc., her real estate investment firm in Wichita, where she also resides.*

Barbara A. (Shirley) Houser '51, MUS ED, has retired as a secretary for Arborilogical Services Inc., Wylie, Texas. She lives in Richardson, Texas.

Marion E. "Gene" Thorpe '53, PE, has retired as city manager for Universal City, Texas, where he lives.*

Earl J. Reeves '54, POL S, '59 M POL S, has retired as president of Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Mo. He lives in Columbia, Mo.

James L. "Jim" Mann '56, BUS, serves as chairman of SunGard Data Systems, an international computer services company with more than $3 billion in annual revenues. SunGard is headquartered in Wayne, Pa., where Mann lives.*

Diana M. (Herbert) Warner '57, MUS C, '58 M MUS C, is a professional pianist in Lincoln, Neb., where she resides.*

Byron G. Hays '58, CHEM, is a senior research associate with Engelhard Corp. in Beachwood, Ohio. He lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

Donald R. Lowe '58, MUS ED, '64 M MUS ED, is the director of the University of Georgia School of Music. He lives in Athens, Ga.

John H. Wilson '58, EL ED, '64 M EAD, has "re-retired" from Wichita State's College of Education. After entering into a phased retirement plan in 1998, he continued teaching six to 11 hours each semester. Wilson, who joined WSU's faculty in 1968 after earning a doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in 1967, notes that one of his career mileposts was teaching one course 98 times. He lives in Wichita.*

Robert L. "Bob" Dryden '59, ACCT, is a retired accountant who continues to work as a consultant. He lives in Bellevue, Wash.

Bruce T. "Ted" Powers '60, m mus ed, a Republican, serves as state representative for Kansas House District 81, Mulvane.

Judith A. (Wolff) Estes '61, EL ED, director of curatorial services at the Huntington Historical Society, Huntington, N.Y., has authored articles on disaster planning for museums and assisted in developing collections policies for several museums on Long Island. President of the Long Island Museum Association, she also works as a consultant. Estes resides in Stony Brook, N.Y.

Allan K. "Al" Higdon '61, JOURN, professional in residence at WSU's Elliott School of Communication, works with Wichita Insight, which is designed to inform CEOs new to Wichita about the community and the Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Wichita.*

Ted D. Lorts '61, MUS ED, who previously served as music director for the First Presbyterian Church in Lee's Summit, Mo., is now the music director at John Knox Village, a retirement neighborhood. Rev. Lorts lives in Lee's Summit.

Bruce K. Donaldson '62, M MATH, '63 M AEROS E, is a professor emeritus of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Maryland in College Park. He lives in Silver Spring, Md.

David H. "Dave" Moore '62, MUS ED, '66 M MUS ED, has retired from Westside Community Schools, Omaha, Neb., and now serves as a part-time instructor and the student teaching supervisor at Creighton University. He resides in Omaha.

Joel T. Park '63, AEROS E, a mechanical engineer, has been transferred from the U.S. Navy Large Cavitation Channel, the world's largest water tunnel located in Memphis, Tenn., to the parent laboratory, Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, in West Bethesda, Md. Park lives in North Potomac, Md.

James R. Graf '64, SEC ED, '69 M EAS, is headmaster and Latin teacher at Northfield School in Wichita, where he also lives.

Harvey E. Najim '64, MATH, is president and CEO of Sirius Computer Solutions Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, where he also resides.

Anthony L. "Tony" Blake '65, ART GD, has expanded the services of his advertising agency, Tony Blake Total Design LLC, to include interior architecture. Blake calls this expansion "a coordination of two-dimensional media with three-dimensional elements," which include the design of a company's physical space. He lives and works in Wichita.

Kent C. DeHaven '65, PE, is director of projects and services for Atlantic Constructors Inc. in Richmond, Va. He lives in Midlothian, Va.

John R. DuVall '65, PSYCH, '92 M HS, retired from COMCARE as director of operations in 2000 and joined WSU's research administration staff as a contract specialist the same year. He lives in Wichita.

David W. Hartman '65, SOC, '65 ANTHRO, '67 M ANTHRO, is dean of the University of North Texas School of Community Service in Denton, Texas, where he lives.

Edward F. Hausserman '65, PSYCH, is director of operations for The Seed Co. in Arlington, Texas, where he also lives.

James M. "Mike" Hayes '66, SOC, '66 ANTHRO, '70 M ANTHRO, has had his Kansas mystery novel, Prairie Gothic, a Poisoned Pen Press Mystery, released in March by ibooks and distributed by Simon & Schuster. He lives in Tucson, Ariz.*

William Henry Hoffman '66, ENG LIT, has had his third novel, Drums Along the Jacks Fork, published by Echelon Press. Hoffman resides in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Robert L. Lane '66, M SEC ED, director of Transition to Teaching at WSU, will retire at the close of the summer session. He lives in Wichita.

Larry L. Light '66, CHEM, has retired from DuPont. He lives in West Chester, Penn.

Pamela A. "Pam" (McMaster) Yenser '66, ENG LIT, has received a first-place literary award from Antietam Review and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Associated Writing Programs award. The writer and poet, who teaches business, persuasive and creative writing at the University of Idaho, lives in Moscow, Idaho.

James L. "Jim" Dornbusch '67, EE, is aerospace director for Kulite Semiconductor Products Inc., a company that produces transducers and sensors. Dornbusch works and lives in Wichita.

Eugenia B. Hayes '67, MUS ED, '92 M MUS P, continues teaching piano students at the age of 80. She is also the organist for Hutchinson's First Church of Christ, Scientist. She lives and works in South Hutchinson, Kan.

Edwin D. Tarver '67, EE, has retired as director of standards for Westar Energy (formerly KG&E). He resides in Topeka, Kan.*

Ronald W. Moore '67, BUS A, is the semi-retired owner/president of ExecUShare in Wichita, where he also lives.

Connie R. (Marshall) Dietz '68, EL ED, '71 M EL ED, director of Cooperative Education and Work-Based Learning at WSU, is a member of Wichita Insight, a task force organized for the purpose of introducing ceos new to the area to the community and the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce. She lives in Wichita.*

Kent L. Paris '68, BUS A, is vice president of sales for LXYS Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif., a company that develops, manufactures and markets a broad spectrum of power semiconductors and other high-tech products for the global power market. Paris lives in San Jose, Calif.*

Nancy J. (Elliott) Martin '69, PSYCH, chief operating officer of Emergency Services PA, has been recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as one of 20 outstanding women in business. She lives and works in Wichita.*

Royce E. Mattson '69, MUS ED, '74 M MUS C, is a low brass adjunct instructor at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., and recently performed as a guest artist with the Bethany Symphonic Band on tuba. He is also a member of the Wichita Symphony (trombone) and has performed at both the Wichita and Kansas City jazz festivals. He lives in Sterling, Kan.

M. Gay Menscer '69, SEC ED, is a retired teacher who lives in Hope Mills, N.C.*

J. Denny Senseney '69, MUS ED, '74 M MUS ED, is founder and president of Senseney Music Inc., Wichita. Senseney's music store was ranked the No. 94 music retailer in the United States based on sales in 2002. Many of the stores in that ranking are large, multi-location franchises. Senseney lives in Wichita.*

John L. Whitlock '69, HIST, is patron services director for the Mississippi Library Commission in Jackson, Miss., where he also resides.

Paul S. Allen '70, ADM, a managing partner with Allen Gibbs & Houlik, was appointed to the Wichita Insight task force, which will introduce ceos to the Wichita community and its Chamber of Commerce. He lives in Wichita.*

P. Dean Biggs '70, ADM, is vice president of both Wilson Building Maintenance Inc. and Metro Courier Inc. in Wichita, where he resides.

Terry O. Everson '70, ACCT, an investment banker, is vice president of Gold Capital Management. He lives and works in Wichita.*

Donna E. (Roths) Sweet '70, BIO, '72 M BIO, University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita professor of internal medicine, is chair-elect designee for the board of regents of the American College of Physicians. She lives in Wichita.

Robert B. "Bob" Hughey '71, ANTHRO, co-owner of IMAGEQuest, a local business-to-business retailer of copying, faxing and printing equipment, has announced the construction of a new office and warehouse for the company. He lives in Wichita.*

Aaron D. Kelley '71, SEC ED, administrator of Parkwest Plaza Retirement Community, Wichita, has received the Administrator of the Year Award from the Kansas Activity Directors Association. He resides in Wichita.

Diane M. (Clark) Alley '72, AA DH, is a registered dental hygienist in the office of Dr. Jon M. Woodruff, DDS, Wichita, where she resides.

Michael L. "Mike" Nelson '72, CHEM, has been recognized for 15 years of service with the Wichita Chamber of Commerce Chamber Ambassadors. A sales manager for L&L Van Lines, he lives in Wichita.*

Shadrach Smith '74, CHEM, medical director of the Hospital Hill Medical Pavilion at Truman Medical Centers, Kansas City, Mo., is a Fellow in the International Society on Hypertension in Blacks and has served as the medical adviser for minority matters at KCTV-5. He resides in Kansas City.

Kathryn B. "Kitty" (Offerman) Bryne '75, GEN S, is a CPS unit supervisor in the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Bryne works and lives in Phoenix, Ariz.*

Lloyd E. "Gene" Krase '75, ACCT, has retired from the U.S. Army as a major general after 41 years of service. A few of the military honors he has received are the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and Army Commendation Medal for Valor. Upon his retirement, he was awarded a Distinguished Service Medal for his command and service to the nation. He lives in Topeka, Kan.

Donald R. "Don" Cummings '76, M AJ, is chief of police at St. Louis Community College-Meramec, the largest community college in Missouri. Previously, he served 22 years with the St. Louis Police Department, retiring with the rank of sergeant. He lives in St. Louis, Mo.*

Robert A. "Rob" Johnson '76, AJ, is director of the commercial technology group at Dr. Pepper/7-Up Inc. in Plano, Texas, where he lives.

Brenda J. Satterlee '80, EL ED, '86 M EL ED, principal of Linwood Elementary School in Wichita, where she also lives, oversaw the school's move to a new building in March.

Conrad L. Shepard '80, BIO, is west regional sales manager for Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals in Anthem, Ariz., where he lives.

Nile J. Dillmore '81, BUS, a Kansas state representative, recently sponsored a bill to penalize employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers. He lives in Wichita.*

David W. Cosloy '83, M COMM, an instructor in hazardous materials management at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, has presented his paper "Emerging Trends in Bioterrorism" at the Academy of Hazardous Material Managers. He lives in Wichita.

Clarence Cox Jr. '83, AJ, is a global account director for AT&T, managing the Information Services International (ISI) Mars Inc. relationship. ISI is the technology purchasing division of M&M Mars Corp. He leads an AT&T global sales team that supplies global connectivity resources to the Mars corporation. He resides in Morristown, N.J.

Chryle A. Nofsinger-Wiens '86, GEN S, serves as executive director of the YWCA in Wichita. One of her primary responsibilities is fundraising for the YWCA's domestic violence intervention and prevention programs. She lives in Wichita.

Mikaeil Afsharpour '87, IEN, chef/owner of Marchellos Restaurante, was named Chef of the Year for 2003 by the Wichita Chapter of The American Culinary Federation. He is the chapter's 2004 vice president. He lives in Wichita.

Aaron M. Wells '88, FIN, is an employee benefit specialist with Dulaney, Johnston & Priest/HRH of Kansas' Wichita office. He lives in Augusta, Kan.

Barbara J. Beale '89, HIST, '94 M HIST, is pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Luling, Texas, where she also lives.
