WSU Greek students Greek Life at WSU

The Greek community at Wichita State is full of brotherhood and sisterhood, tradition and pride.

From participating in Hippodrome to Shocktoberfest events and intramurals, Greeks know how to show school spirit.

They always have! The Shocker's On the Hill Greek page celebrates WSU's Greek-letter organizations, their members and alumni members. 


Recruitment Week 

Sept. 3-8 — During the 2014 fall semester's Recruitment Week, Wichita State's fraternities and sororities will host formal recruitment events.

Order of Omega

Greeks filled the Hughes Metropolitan Complex to celebrate these winners in their annual awards program: Outstanding New Members: Mariah Smith, Dalton Glasscock; Craig Barton Outstanding Sophomores: Clare Stewart, Johnathan Dennill; Dr. Sam Cohlmia Man & Woman of the Year: Mogie Curmode, Isaac Roehm; Dottie C. Miller Award: Sandy Sipes; Outstanding Advisor Award: Tony Durano; Gamma Phi Beta Greek Unity Award: Paige Anderson, Michael Shultz; Panhellenic Community Servant: Jordan Reece; Community Impact Award: Justin Dugan; Panhellenic Outstanding Fraternity: Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Sigma Phi Epsilon Outstanding Sorority: Gamma Phi Beta; Rhatigan Chapters of Fraternal Excellence: Chi Sigma Tau Fraternity Inc., Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity Inc., Sigma Phi Epsilon. 

Homecoming 2014

Wichita State University Homecoming, Cirque du WSU, was held Feb. 17-22. Greek members enjoyed participating in a variety of activities, including voting for Homecoming Royalty and the Nearly Naked Run. During the Nearly Naked Run, students were encouraged to show up wearing many layers of clothing, which were then donated. All of the clothing, with the exception of their final layer, were shed right before the run!

For 40 years now, the art Wichita State's museum has put before us has stirred our hearts and minds.

Something Unique

Roy Moye III is an aerospace engineering major with a talent for singing. The winner of Shockers Got Talent in February, Moye also enjoyed performing in this spring's Hippodrome.

Phi Delta Theta Founders Day Celebration

The Wichita State chapter of Phi Delta Theta held its annual Founders Day Dinner on April 26 in Wichita.

Sororities Participate in Wellness Retreat

Members of six Wichita State sororities took time out of their busy schedules for a Kallistei wellness retreat hosted by Student Involvement Feb. 28-March 2.
