For the third year, Shocker Athletics and the WSU Alumni Association have teamed up to throw the Shocker party of the year: Rockin’ the Roundhouse, 6 p.m., Sat., Oct. 28 in Charles Koch Arena. You will definitely want to be there!
Some of the best restaurants in the area will be sharing menu offerings all around the concourse, while local musicians and entertainers set an atmosphere of fun. Hundreds of items, many of them Shockerly unique, will be up for bid in both silent and live auctions.
“This year we have a great mix of many of our traditional and always-sought-after auction items plus lots of new and exciting one-of-a-kind opportunities,” says Debbie Kennedy, alumni association executive director. “I’m telling you, this is a great year to attend this event, which is loads of fun and raises funds in support of the many worthwhile programs and activities of the alumni association and WSU Athletics.”
A few of the many auction items to keep an eye on are a trip to Los Angeles to see a taping of the Dr. Phil show plus a meeting with the celeb relationship guru; an opportunity to dine with opera great Sam Ramey ’68 during his time performing in Wichita next spring; and way too many more to list here.
