Who's That Astronaut?

BY MICHAEL CARMODY

actor Blake RobbinsAstute readers may remember Blake Robbins ’88 from an Alumni News story in the fall 2005 issue of The Shocker.

Robbins, an actor and producer with many television appearances to his credit, has surfaced in a pop music video — in a spacesuit.

“I love this band, especially this song,” says Robbins. “Why else would I take the thankless role in their video — gratis?”

The band in question, Eisley, is a co-ed outfit from Texas, comprised of the four DuPree siblings and their cousin. The video was for the song “I Wasn’t Prepared.”

Robbins can also be seen in an episode of NBC’s inside-the-Pentagon drama E-Ring, as well as commercials for UPS and ESPN.

His own movie, ...based on a true story, is in pre-production; he plans to film much of that project on and around the WSU campus.
