Total Design

BY CORI DODDS ’04

Tony BlakeHaving won awards too numerous to list, Tony Blake ’65 continues to demonstrate his considerable design talents.

Blake began his advertising agency in 1977 as Tony Blake Design, crafting traditional advertising and graphic design.

Today, it is Tony Blake Total Design — a full service company that offers a new way of marketing. “Our clients kind of drove us in this direction,” says Blake, whose firm provides unique services that proclaim a company’s message in everything from its name and logo to its architecture and interior design.

Blake’s business has grown into three distinct departments: advertising, the traditional arm; environmental, interior and exterior architectural design; and accents, the furniture and interior design element.

When called upon, Blake’s crew designs and builds original pieces to meet clients’ needs. Blake’s clientele is executives who want their company’s design features to coordinate — and who want top-end work.

While Tony Blake Total Design caters to a number of national clients, Blake says the firm is centralized in Wichita. And while advertising and marketing remain the core of the business, he is happy to see the total design grow.
