Spring 2014 Notes

Dear Editor:

The article about the team (“Running Down a Dream,” spring 2014) is absolutely fabulous, and the photos! Wow!

A dynamite issue.

Dear WSU Alumni Association:

I wish The Shocker magazine came out more than just twice a year.

Dear Editor:

What an awesome article (“The Ulrich Museum Celebrates Its Ruby Anniversary,” spring 2014) you wrote for our 40th anniversary show.

Thanks so much!

Jessy Clonts Day, Ulrich Museum of Art

Dear Editor:

Thanks for the nice article (“Helping Create Thriving Communities”) highlighting the Center for Community Support and Research’s executive director Scott Wituk (’96/99/01) and our 30th anniversary.

Dear Editor:

I tried to find the quite-wonderfully written article (“A Midwestern Poet in Kentucky,” spring 2014) online, but failed. Could you direct me to the url? Or maybe it’s not online?

Thanks,

Jeff Worley ’71, Lexington, Ky.

The U on the Move

Look what we found!

Well, actually, we aren’t the ones who uncovered a set of six WuShock glasses with the tagline “The U on the Move,” but we are trying to help the non-WSU alumnus who did discover these glasses learn more about them. The glasses date to around 1970, he thinks.

Do any of you, Shocker readers, know the history of “The U on the Move”? If so, please share by emailing us at theshockermagazine@gmail.com.
