This spring has been an eventful one for Allen D. Tang ’13, a Wichita State international business graduate who is deserving of Shocker congratulations on no less than three different fronts.
First, Tang was selected as one of 30 participants to attend the Japanese American Citizens League and Asian Pacific American Advocates Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., where he and other participants advocated for education reform. While in D.C., he received the good news that he’d been accepted into the University of Southern California’s master of health administration program at the Sol Price School of Public Policy. And rounding out his trio of achievements, he was offered a position he says he couldn’t refuse: outreach coordinator at North East Medical Services in San Francisco.
“Mentorship is imperative to the success of any individual,” he says. “Dr. Elizabeth King has provided professional support, encouragement and guidance through my educational journey. Being a Shocker has definitely provided me a strong foundation to thrive on in my future goals and aspirations.”
