Jack H. Spines '39 has been elected to serve as secretary of the board of directors for Rainbows United Inc. He lives in Wichita.

Robert L. Richey fs '41 has been named president of the Central Kansas Association of Health Underwriters. He lives in Enid, Okla.

Lawrence J. Emming '49, aeoe, and his wife Bertille have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They reside in Cincinatti, Ohio.

Preston D. Huston '49, eng lit, has been named National Business Advisory Board Member of the Year by Students in Free Enterprise. He lives in Wichita.*

Beverly (Vanzant) Burton fs '53 works for Coldwell Banker Dinning-Beard's west office and ranked in the top 10 gross commission income, closed revenue units, buyer controlled sales and listings sold in the state for the first quarter of 1999. She resides in Wichita.

Daniel M. Carney '53, econ, has been elected to the board of directors of Hospice Inc. He lives in Wichita.*

Thomas W. DiZerega '53, hist, has been recognized as a Virginia Bar Association Life Member, acknowledging his 40 years of consecutive service with the VBA. He resides in Upperville, Va.*

Patricia E. (Smith) Kettler '53 has been elected president of the Fourth Orbit Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She lives in Wichita.*

John G. McCune '59, ien, has celebrated 40 years as an agent for MONY Life. He resides in Wichita.*

Jayde Sprecker '59, admn, retired June 30, 1999, from the firm of Kirkpatrick, Sprecker & Company, LLP, Certified Public Accounts, where he was CPA as well as co-founder of the firm. He lives in Whitewater, Kan.*

Donald H. Pratt '60, ien, has been elected chairman of the board at Butler Manufacturing Co. He resides in Kansas City, Mo.*

Allan K. Higdon '61, journ, has been elected to serve on the board of trustees for Exploration Place. He lives in Wichita.*

Thomas E. Wright '61, math, '61 eng lit, is a newly elected board of governor member with the Kansas Bar Association. He lives in Topeka, Kan.

Rev. Virgil L. Brady '61, eng lit, '61 hist, '61 rel, has retired as pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence, Kan. He lives in Lawrence, Kan.*

Robert D. Keefer '63, m math, teaches math at Wichita's Northeast Magnet High School and was recently selected to read Advanced Placement Examinations in Statistics in Lincoln, Neb. He lives in Wichita.

David A. Stalker '65, acct, was recognized by Northwestern Mutual Life with its Diamond Award for sales achievement in 1998-99. He lives in Wichita.*

Robert D. "Bob" Dool '68, admn, will lead the 2000 Chamber Chairman's Total Resource Campaign. He lives in Wichita.*

Edward M. "Mac" Barnett '69, admn, '70 m admn, has received an award from the Small Business Administration for his work with Ceco Inc., which he manages. He lives in Wichita.*

Rebecca L. (Humphrey) Long '70, acct, has been inducted into the Wichita Business Hall of Fame. She resides in Wichita.*

Phillip W. Morris '70, rel, is the new minister of the Harper United Methodist Church. He lives in Lewis, Kan.

Timothy N. Neff '70, admn, has been recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Wichita branch of the YMCA. He lives in Wichita.

Donna E. (Roths) Sweet '70, biol, '72 m biol, will become chairman of the Board of Governors for the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine in April 2000. She lives in Wichita.

Martha A. "Marni" (Tasheef) Vliet '70, sec ed, '77 m sec ed, has joined the board of directors for the Center for Disease Control. She lives in Wichita.*

Ronald C. Rose '71, ee, '72 m ee, has joined the law firm of Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace & Schwartz. He lives in Wichita.

Marily B. (Seiwart) Pauly '72, admn, has been re-appointed president of Bank of America. She lives in Wichita.*

Joyce A.(Regier) Wall '72, nurs, has been named the Conway Springs Busy Productive Women's 1998-1999 Woman of the Year. She resides in Conway Springs, Kan.

Jane E. Altenhofen '73, acct, has been appointed Inspector General at the National Labor Relations Board. She lives in Washington, D.C.

Albert R. "Bert" Denny '73, acct, helped organize the Wichita Heights class of 1969 reunion. He lives in Wichita.*

Gary L. Enslinger '77, m spg, has been named as a top fire and auto producer as well as a Super All American, a member of the Three Million Dollar Club, the Century Club and the Triple Crown Club. Enslinger is an insurance agent for the Farm Bureau and lives in Derby, Kan.

Jeffrey L. Noyes '77, admn, is vice president and senior relationship manager of wealth management with INTRUST Bank. He resides in Wichita.

John W. Smee '77, acct, has been appointed vice president of finance and accounting, and chief financial officer with Straightline Directional Drilling Systems. He lives in Hutchinson, Kan.

Janet Wright fs '77 has been named executive director of the Wichita River Festival. She lives in Wichita.

Nahib H. "Gene" Zaid '77, m chem, is president of JaCam Chemicals and recently spoke at Weslyan University's spring commencement. He resides in Sterling, Kan.

Louise C. (Dietsch) Herrington '78, m sec ed, '89 s ed adm, '98 phd ed adm, is principal of Valley Center High School in Valley Center, Kan. She lives in Wichita.

Robert A. Bachman '79, gen s, is a regional investment specialist for Commerce Brokerage Services in west Wichita and Hutchinson. He resides in Wichita.

Junetta M. (French) Everett '79, aa dh, '79 dh, has been re-appointed chair of DDPA's Dental Relations Committee. She lives in Wichita.

Edward R. Flora '79, mkt, was recently promoted to colonel in the Kansas Air National Guard. He lives in Sedgwick, Kan.

Dudley R. Richardson '79, admn, is a project manager with BCI Construction. He lives in Andover, Kan.

Suzanne L. Shields '79, m mus p, '83 ien, recently presented a program entitled "A Trip Around the World with the Folk Harp" at the Coutts Museum of Art. She lives in Wichita.

Rep. Susan G. (Kratz) Wagle '79, el ed, has been chosen as chairman of the House Taxation Committee. She lives in Topeka, Kan.

Cheryl E. Wertheimer '79, rel, recently accepted a position as adjunct professor at Butler County Community College, where she will teach religion. She had been a church pastor with Maize United Methodist Church. She lives in Wichita.

Jackie L. (Ratts) Wise '79, gen s, has joined CAPSTAR Broadcasting as director of sales. She will oversee operations of the sales department for 107.3 KKRD, 96.3 KRZZ, KZSN 102 and B98-FM KRBB radio. She resides in Mulvane, Kan.

Anne P. (Mohr) Corriston '80, mkt, has been honored by the Wichita Business Journal as a recipient of one of the journal's 40-Under-40 awards. She is director of development with Hospice Inc. and lives in Wichita.

James O. Covey '80, aa aj, '81 aj, retired June 12 after serving as a Kansas Highway Patrolman for 26 years. He resides in Fort Scott, Kan.

Judith A. (Harpool) Henson '80, mus ed, is the senior finance analyst for Hallmark Entertainment Networks, the international cable TV division of Hallmark Entertainment which operates domestically as the Odyssey Channel. She resides in Lakewood, Colo.

Jeffry R. Heryford '80, aj, was promoted to second lieutenant with the Kansas Highway Patrol. He lives in Berryton, Kan.

Richard C. Kern '80, m mus p, teaches math at Newton High School, after having taught math, music and science in Napaskiak, Alaska. He lives in Newton, Kan.

J. Michael Lamb '80, soc, is director of planned giving at Wichita State University's Endowment Association. He lives in Hesston, Kan.*

Shelley A. (Stamm) Duncan '82, psych, '87 m psych, has joined the staff of Youthville as vice president of clinical services. She lives in Wichita.

Dee A. Spade '82, art s, '89 gen s, has joined Wichita Clinic's pediatric department. She lives in Wichita.

Sandra K. (Riedl) Stump '82, aj, vice president of sales with Riedl First Securities, was named one of the Wichita Business Journal's 40-Under-40 honorees. She lives in Wichita.

Dana Anderson fs '83 has passed the National Association of Securities Dealers Test. He resides in Mulvane, Kan.

Craig W. Barton '83, re, is a recent 40-Under-40 honoree. He is president of Apollo Capital Corp., and resides in Wichita.

Antoine Carr fs '83, a veteran NBA player and record-setting former Shocker basketball player, has been inducted into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame. Last season Carr played for the Houston Rockets, but has recently been traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies.*

Kendall Klaus '83, m urb a, has been named master advisor with American Express Financial Advisors. He resides in Wichita.

Susan L. Thacker '83, m comm, is a reporter for the Great Bend Tribune. She resides in Dodge City, Kan.

Tami Bradley '84, journ, '98 m comm, is a recent 40-Under-40 honoree. She is vice president for communications with the Kansas Health Foundation. She resides in Wichita.

Rickey Lees '84, aj, has been named manager of safety and security for the Olathe School District. He lives in Olathe, Kan.

Deborah D. Perbeck '84, m csp, '93 s ead, '99 ed ead, recently received her doctorate in education from Wichita State. Perbeck is assistant superintendent at USD 413 in Chanute, Kan. She lives in Chanute.

Clifford L. Premer '84, acct, '86 m bus a, is a recent 40-Under-40 honoree. He is owner and general manager of ExecuTrain of Wichita. He resides in Goddard, Kan.

Pamela R. (Merritt) Walker '84, m psych, was the 1998 Child Welfare Worker of the Year (for the southern region) for the Child Welfare League of America. She lives in Webster, Texas.

Michael Weigel '84, aj, was recently promoted to Master Trooper with the Kansas Highway Patrol. He lives in Lincoln, Kan.

J. Chris Dennis '85, acct, is a recent 40-Under-40 honoree. He is executive vice president with Quest Financial Group Inc. He lives in Wichita.*

Mohammed M. "Moncef" Hadiji '86, ee, '88 m ee, works as an electrical engineer in the electrical division of Professional Engineering Consultants in Lawrence, Kan. He resides in Wichita.

Dr. David C. Martinez fs '86 has been made a member of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, which is an international organization for crash-injury control. He lives in Derby, Kan.

Kathy K. (Fry) Decker '87, soc s, '89 journ, received the Bronze Quill Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators for her work as editor and publisher of Beverage News Magazine. She lives in Wichita.

Timothy S. Farris '87, acct, has joined Metal-Fab as regional sales manager for commercial chimney products. He lives in Wichita.

Bryan K. Frye '87, aa soc, '88 mkt, has been promoted to director of marketing and creative services for KSNW-TV 3 and the Kansas State Network. He lives in Wichita.

Paul J. Mainz '87, fin, has been named assistant vice president and loan officer of the Wichita Branch of the First National Bank, Conway Springs and Norwich. He resides in Wichita.

Douglas E. Melton '87, ee, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Kettering University in Michigan, is one of two recipients of the 1999 Outstanding Teaching Award. He lives in Flushing, Mich.

Patricia L. (Quillin) Moreland '87, m sec ed, received a Master Teacher award for natural science at the annual National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Conference. She lives in South Haven, Kan.

Connie Kachel White fs '89 is a national winner in the 1999 National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest, earning second-place honors for the WSU Alumni Association's WSU Alumni News publication and third place for an alumni association brochure.

Gary L. McCutcheon '90, m bus a, has been named a member of the All-American Team by the American Funds in recognition of financial expertise. He lives in Winfield, Kan.

Daniel A. Ahlstrom fs '91, a computer specialist with the firm of Kirkpatrick, Sprecker & Co., has become certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He lives in Wichita.

Saundra E. Carriker '91, sc wk, has joined Coldwell Banker Dinning-Beard's Northrock office as a sales associate. She was also one of the organizers of the 30 year reunion for graduates of Wichita Heights. She resides in Wichita.

Holly A. (McDiffett) Coleman '91, chem, is a certified safety professional and supervisor of occupational health and safety at Clayton Enviromental Consultants. She resides in Wichita.

Michael Dawes '91, journ, who graduated last May from Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in physical education (sports administration), has written a historical thesis about noted Fort Hays track and field coach Alex Francis. Dawes is in his ninth year as sports information director at Barton County Community College, Great Bend, Kan.

Michael Suzanne Farmer '91, fren, is director of the Trade Development Division of the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing in Topeka, Kan.

Sen. Barbara B. Lawrence fs '91 has been elected vice-chair of the Kansas Senate's Special Committee on Education and chair of the Legislative Educational Planning Committee. She lives in Wichita.

Lori R. Luginbill-Francis '91, mgt, '97 m bus a, has been promoted to account manager for the U.S. Postal Service in Wichita. She lives in Wichita.

Kristin (Henry) Sandwell '92, m el ed, a gifted facilitator for USD 259, has received an International Woman of the Year award from the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. Sandwell was also featured in the 1999 Who's Who in the World of Education. She resides in Wichita.

Lisa M. Agrimonti '93, m bus a, has joined the law firm of Brigg and Morgan in Minneapolis, Minn. She lives in Saint Paul, Minn.

Kay E.(Beck) Bachus '93, nurs, has been selected to represent Kansas at the American Nurses Association annual House of Delegates meeting in Washington, D.C. She is a nurse educator and clinical nurse specialist at the Kansas School of Medicine at Wesley Family Practice Residency, Wichita. She lives in Wichita.

Jean D. Beck '93, nurs, was recently awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation Designation for her work at Coldwell Banker Dining-Beard in Wichita. She lives in Wichita.
