The annual Baseball Alumni Tailgate Party is set for Tue., April 27. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with a social and cookout taking place just west of Eck Stadium next to the stadium’s baseball parking lot. Look for the big, yellow-and-white-striped tent. The game — Wichita State vs. the University of Kansas Jayhawks — starts at 7 p.m. All attendees of this family-friendly event will receive a special Shocker photo frame and an exclusive Shocker photo opportunity. The cost for the event is $10 for WSU Alumni Association members, including dinner and game ticket, $6 for dinner only. The non-member cost is $15 for dinner and game ticket, $10 for dinner only. Kids 2 years old and older must have a game ticket to enter the stadium. Kids 5 years old and younger eat free and are counted as members of the alumni association. Special thanks go to the House of Schwan and QuikTrip for their support of this alumni Shocker baseball tailgating event.
