We have had a great year at the association, and I want to publicly thank Dave Dahl, out-going president, for his incredible leadership skill, his love for this university and his power of inspiration. I’d also like to thank our board members and my staff for their hard work and dedication to our collective mission.
We have had a few staff changes during the year, and I am gratified to see that our new and veteran staff members have blended together to form a cohesive team that works hard to develop new and creative ideas to move our association forward. Together, we are looking forward to not only enhancing the alumni events and programs that have stood the test of time and become traditions, but also to introducing a few pleasant alumni surprises in the coming year!
One of our principal focuses is to increase our membership, both by developing chapters and societies and by establishing more and more individual relationships. We ask you to let us know about individuals you know who care about WSU and who might be likely candidates to join the association. We have seen a great outpouring of affection and pride for WSU this year, and we pledge to do everything we can to continue bringing Shockers of all ages and interests together in support of Wichita State.
