Cheering for the Champs
Four Village Tours & Travel charter coaches full of Shocker basketball fans traveled to St. Louis for the March 2-5 Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament – and were on hand to watch the Shockers claim the tournament championship. In addition to the tournament games, the travelers kept their Shocker spirits high at pre-game pep rallies, co-hosted by the WSU Alumni Association and WSU Athletics.
Among the 200-plus Shocker travelers were Dave and Marilyn Bangle, Alfred and Sara Campbell, Steve and Linda Clary, Richard and Carol Harris, Lowell and Gloria Rising, and Chris Purdum ’07, WSUAA board chair, who, along with his wife Ashley ’06, took on the duties of serving as a travel-host.
