There were quite a few Wichita State alums happy they didn’t have to head back to class in August. To celebrate the occasion, they returned to campus for a party!
The Bash, which was held Aug. 24, featured food, drink, live music, a photo booth and games. “It was a great night,” says Ashlee Baysinger ’12, assistant director of student and young alumni relations at the alumni association.
“The bands kept the crowd involved, the washer tournament was a success and the food was great.”
Live music was provided by Reggie Littleton and Contemp-Oh!
“It was an awesome time at The Bash put on by the WSU Alumni Association,” says Ray Cozart of Contemp-Oh!
While attendees listened to the music, they enjoyed fantastic food from Old Chicago, Chipotle, Chili’s and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, soda and water from QuikTrip and beer from JT’s Liquor.
Printing Inc. sponsored invitations to the Shocker party, which featured a washer tournament won by Mike Gunzelman ’10 and Joey Huggins ’11. Grabbing second place were Laura Calhoun ’12 and JT Ronnfeldt.
“We had a lot of fun,” says Baysinger, who worked with Young Alumni Council members to plan The Bash. “I can’t wait to see what next year brings us.”
