Shockerly Names

BY DAVID DINELL ’05

Shocker the dog “Shocker,” a black Lab puppy, is the new addition to Debbie ’94 and Mike ’71 Kennedy’s household.

Naturally, with a moniker like that, the canine needs a Shocker connection with his schooling, and he has just that with Milton Carlson, a Wichita dog trainer and aircraft worker who works with “Shocker.”

Carlson, by the way, is so dedicated to the yellow-and-black cause he has WuShock embossed on his prosthetic leg.

“I just love the Shockers,” says Carlson, who can be spotted on a regular basis at Wichita State men’s basketball games.

So how about you? Do you have a pet named “Shocker” or “WuShock”? Send photos of your Shockerly-named pet to shockermagazine@gmail.com.
